Seven different Bees find the back of the net for a dominant win

St. Ambrose women's lacrosse team played host to the Blue Devils from University of Wisconsin-Stout Thursday evening. What all thought would be a close match up proved to be much more for the Bees once they found their rhythm in the second period of play. The first quarter seemed to be a back and forth game between the Bees and Blue Devils with SAU leading 4-2 at the end of the period. However, St. Ambrose gained momentum in the second period by only allowing one goal from the Blue Devils whereas the Bees found the back of the net four times to pull away. At halftime, St. Ambrose was up 8-3. The second half was all St. Ambrose. In the second half alone, Anabelle Brown secured five goals for the Bees while SAU only allowed Stout to two goals between both periods. St. Ambrose clinched the 19-5 win. This win was good for their second win of the season.

Anabelle Brown led the way for St. Ambrose with six goals, a team high. Brown also tacked on an assist and 11 draw controls. Lauren Hoesly added three while five other Bees tacked on two goals apiece. Raegan Dotterer, Delaney Austad, Claire Jeffers, Sarah Diehl, and Morgan O'Malley among those goal scorers. Austad earned three assists on the evening. Dotterer, Hoesly, and Jeffers added two assists each.

Saige Carlton was strong in goal for SAU making 10 saves.

St. Ambrose will start conference play vs. Missouri Valley at St. Vincent's Athletic Complex in Davenport, Iowa tomorrow, Saturday. The game is slated for 12 p.m.
