Heart of America Conference Tournament Preview - Women's Lacrosse
St. Ambrose, the No. 2 seed in the Heart, will host third-seeded William Penn on April 19th at 7 p.m. at the St. Vincent Athletic Complex in Davenport, Iowa in a conference semifinal.
Admission to the game will be $5 for adults and $2 for students.
The Bees went 4-1 in conference play to earn the two-seed, while William Penn was 3-2 in the conference. The two teams met back on April 5th in Oskaloosa, Iowa with SAU taking a 15-11 victory.
SAU offensively is led by Audrey Warner (49 points), Maddie Wiltrout (43 points), and Anabelle Brown (43 points). Lauren Hoesly leads the team in assists with 20. Defensively, Abby Taaffe has caused 14 turnovers on the year to lead the Bees. Maggie Samson has made 99 saves in goal.
William Penn is led by Bailee Royal (66 points) and MacKenzie Petersen (58 points). Madison Reed has made 92 saves for the Statesmen.
The other semifinal will be No. 1 Benedictine against No. 4 Culver-Stockton. Benedictine went a perfect 5-0 in the Heart to win the regular season and earn the one seed.
The championship game will be on Saturday, April 22nd with the highest remaining seed hosting.
