St. Ambrose used a balanced scoring attack and locked down on defense Tuesday afternoon in Davenport. Twelve different Bees scored a goal as SAU (11-1, 8-1 KCAC) defeated Clarke University (3-8, 2-7 KCAC) 21-3 at the St. Vincent's Athletic Complex.

The Bees grabbed the lead just one minute into the game as Audrey Warner put one past the keeper. The Pride would answer right back getting a goal from Emily Moran. Katie Baranski would find Morgan Curzon for a 2-1 SAU lead, and Maggie Samson would keep it that way making a save on a Clarke free position shot. Lauren Hoesly would assist on the next three St. Ambrose goals - finding Maddie Wiltrout, Lauren Koutouzis, and Mackenzie Zions - giving the Bees a 5-1 advantage with 25:37 remaining in the first. After a Claire Jeffers goal, SAU would score two man-down goals from Avery Cummins (assist Baranski) and Delaney Austad (assist Baranski) to gain an 8-1 lead. Seven goals would follow for St. Ambrose as they would take a 15-1 lead into halftime.

Zions would start the scoring early for SAU in the second half getting a feed from Hoesly, and Savannah Smith would keep the lead at 15 making a save on Clarke's Leylah Heredia. Curzon would add two goals sandwiched between a Pride goal for an 18-2 advantage with 22:59 left. Clarke would score just once more as Katie Burr made two saves in the net to keep the visitors at bay. A free position goal from Baranski and goals from Hoesly and Maura Healy would close out the scoring.

Hoesly, Curzon, and Baranski each scored three goals. Koutouzis, Cummins, and Zions notched two. Jeffers, Audrey Warner, Healy, Erin Green, Wiltrout, and Austad each had one. Hoesly added four assists while Baranski had three. Samson made four saves in goal during the first half, while Smith, Allison Claus, and Burr combined for three saves in the second.

St. Ambrose will begin KCAC postseason play on Saturday, April 17.
