In a matchup between two undefeated teams that are receiving votes in the NAIA poll, St. Ambrose came out on top against Ottawa University Thursday afternoon at the St. Vincent's Athletic Complex in Davenport. SAU won 13-7 over the Braves to remain undefeated.

The Bees got out to a fast start scoring the first three goals of the game. Erin Green scored just a minute and 14 seconds into the game after getting a pass from Audrey Warner. Maggie Samson kept the visitors off the board, saving free position shots from Cecily Anderson and Felicia Dixon. Claire Jeffers then scored on a free position shot, and Katie Baranski added an unassisted goal to give SAU a 3-0 lead. The Braves would get a goal back on a Mackenzie Simmons shot. Maddie Wiltrout would push the lead back to three scoring midway through the half. Wiltrout would score another just three minutes later on a free position shot to give St. Ambrose a 5-2 lead. Ottawa would score the final three goals of the half, and the Bees would lead just 5-4 heading into the break.

Warner and Wiltrout would each find the back of the net before the Braves got on the scoresheet again midway through the half. The Bees get another goal from Baranski just a minute later after she split two defenders and bounced a shot past the goalie. Ottawa would tally one more goal, and Wiltrout would score her fourth with just under six minutes left to account for the 13-7 final score.
