Offense explodes in wins over Midland, Morningside

The St. Ambrose women's lacrosse offense exploded in wins over Midland University and Morningside College. The Bees took down the Warriors 23-3 on Friday afternoon at the St. Vincent's Athletic Complex and came away with a 23-1 victory over the Mustangs on Saturday in Davenport.

Game 1

SAU used a 36-12 advantage in shots against Midland on Friday on their way to scoring 23 goals. St. Ambrose scored eight straight in the first half before the Warriors found the back of the net. Delaney Austead and Mackenzie Zions each scored five goals for the Bees. Katie Baranski, Morgan Curzon, McKenna Sears, Audrey Warner, and Maddie Wiltrout each had two goals. Maggie Samson had one save in goal, and Allison Claus was credited with five saves.

Game 2

The Bees scored 18 straight in the 23-1 win over the Mustangs on Saturday. St. Ambrose had a 42-3 advantage in shots and won 20 draw controls. Katie Baranski led SAU with four goals. Maddie Wiltrout scored three, and Delaney Austad, Morgan Curzon, Lauren Hoesly, and Audrey Warner each added two. Maggie Samson, Katie Burr, Savannah Smith, and Allison Claus split time in goal for St. Ambrose.

SAU will return home on March 17th to take on Quincy University at 3:00 p.m.
