St. Ambrose moves to 3-0 with victory over Aquinas

The St. Ambrose women's lacrosse team traveled to Aquinas College on Saturday afternoon and got a 14-9 victory to move to 3-0 on the season.

Aquinas got on the board first, but Audrey Warner answered back with a goal of her own. The Saints would get another, but Erin Green had the goal to get SAU back to even. The home team would get another, but goals from Morgan Curzon and two from Delaney Austad gave the Bees a lead they would never lose. After an Aquinas goal, Austad scored another to give SAU a 6-4 lead at the half.

Lauren Hoesly found McKenna Sears to get the scoring started in the second. The Saints would answer, but goals from Katie Baranski, Maddie Wiltrout, and three from Austad pushed the Ambrose lead to 12-6. Warner and Maddie Wiltrout would round out the scoring for the Bees.

SAU outshot their opponent 33-24. Maggie Samson was credited with 10 saves in the win.

St. Ambrose will take on Midland University at home at 4 p.m on March 12th.
