SAU closes fall portion of its schedule at TPC Deere Run

St. Ambrose put a close to its fall season by finishing 13th at the TPC Deere Run Invitational, played in Silvis, Ill., Monday and Tuesday. The three-round tournament, allowing teams a look at the site of the 2024 NAIA Women's Golf Championships, featured a strong field.

Amara Lytle led the way for the Bees, tying for 45th place overall. She had the team's low round of the event, shooting an opening-round 86 Monday. That was followed with a 92 and a 94 for her 272.

Katherine Speer fired a second-round 91, sandwiched between rounds of 102 and 104 for a 297. Keely Nguyen (99-105-98) shot a 302 while Gabrielle Langlois (101-111-101) and Anna Hurning (116-96-101) each came in with a 313.

As a team, the Bees shot an 1167 (388-385-394). SCAD Atlanta won the tournament with a 944. Marian's Sidney Parmer was medalist with a 227. 

SAU will return to action in April, back at TPC Deere Run for the Western Illinois University Intercollegiate Apr. 4-6.
