Bees compete at Mount Mercy Fall Invitational
St. Ambrose women's golf played in the two-day Mount Mercy Fall Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at Hunters Ridge Golf Course in Marion, Iowa. Mount Mercy A (638), Mount Mercy B (649), and Doane (697) claimed the top three spots. SAU finished with a 737 for the event.
Kara Williams was the top finisher for the Bees, besting her day one score by three strokes to finish with an 181 (92-89). Amara Lytle also improved on her day one score, shooting an 184 (93-91). Katherine Speer was one shot behind Lytle, posting a two-day 185 (91-94). Audrey McAleer and Gabrielle Langlois also improved from day one to day two. McAleer finished with a 187 (94-93), while Langlois posted a 190 (96-94).
Next up for St. Ambrose is the Holy Cross Saints Classic at The Warren in Notre Dame, Ind. on October 9 & 10.
