Sullivan finishes fourth at Bill Johnson Fall Invite

Leah Sullivan matched her personal best with an opening-round 83 and backed it up with an 84 Saturday to earn fourth place at the Bill Johnson Fall Invitational hosted by Olivet Nazarene at the Elks Country Club in Saint Anne, Ill.

She was one of three Bees to end inside the top 10.

Katherine Speer shot an 84 Friday and came back with an 88. Her 172 was good for seventh. Amara Lytle had rounds of 90 and 86 for a 176 and a 10th-place showing.

Kara Williams ended with a 184 (98-86) and Audrey McAleer shot a 190 (96-94) for St. Ambrose.

The Bees made a nine-shot improvement from Friday to Saturday to climb into a second-place finish in the four-team event. SAU fired a 697 (353-344) to finish seven shots behind tournament champion Olivet Nazarene (355-335=690). Indiana East took third with a 701 (350-351).

Saint Xavier's Hannah Kilbane earned individual medalist honors with a 5-over 161 (84-77).

The Bees will close the fall portion of their schedule at the Deere Run Invitational Oct. 17-18 at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill.
