Sanders leads charge as Bees take Carl Sandburg Triangular
Maitlyn Sanders was the individual medalist, and Bees finished first, second and third, as St. Ambrose won the Carl Sandburg Triangular Saturday at Lake Bracken Country Club in Galesburg, Ill.
In the team's first event of the year, Sanders shot an 83 to win by nine shots.
Teammate Becki Meils was the runner-up with an 89. Alyson Scheidecker took third with her 90.
Sam Cramer shot a 94 and Abi Scheidecker finished with a 97 for the Bees.
St. Ambrose took the team title with a 356. Carl Sandburg (392) and Kishwaukee also competed.
SAU will host an event at Short Hills Country Club in East Moline, Ill., on Monday, Oct. 5.
