SAU announces 2023-24 bowling schedule

The 15th season of St. Ambrose University bowling will get underway this coming fall, as the Fighting Bees look to add to an already impressive list of accomplishments over the past 14 seasons.

The SAU bowling program began in 2009, and over the past 14 seasons, the men's and women's programs have accounted for 37 major tournament titles, as well as 22 runner-up finishes. Included among these accomplishments are a half-dozen Tier 1 tournament wins and 11 Tier 1 runner-up finishes. Also included are three Intercollegiate Team Championship sectionals victories, with both teams consistently being ranked in the top 10 in the nation over the past six seasons. The men have advanced to the national championship tournament five times, including a pair of runner-up finishes in 2021 and 2023. The women's team has also advanced to the national championship tournament on five occasions. Both programs will be looking to build on this 14-season legacy of success in 2023-2024.

Both men's and women's programs feature many returning players who are major forces in collegiate bowling, while both will welcome talented incoming freshmen looking to make an impact on the program's success.

The 2023-2024 tournament schedule include five Tier 1 and five Tier 2 events, with tournament locations in Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana and Kansas. Tryouts begin on Tuesday, Aug. 22.
