All-CCAC Women's Basketball Team

Abby Wolter and Caitlyn Thole both received all-conference honorable mention as the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) announced its postseason women's basketball awards.

Wolter, last season's CCAC Freshman of the Year, received honorable mention for the second straight season. The sophomore forward from Keokuk, Iowa, led St. Ambrose in scoring at 14.5 points per game. Wolter scored in double figures 21 times and had at least 20 points four times. She dropped in a season-best 26 points at then-No. 4 Clarke on Dec. 22. She shot nearly 46 percent from the floor this season.

Wolter was second on the team in rebounding, averaging 7.7 per contest. She grabbed double-digit rebounds six times and posted five double-doubles. Wolter also averaged 2.4 assists and 1.3 steals while blocking 15 total shots.

Thole was third on the team in scoring at 11.8 points per game, and led the team in rebounding at 9.0 boards per contest. Down the stretch, with SAU fighting for a CCAC Tournament berth, Thole averaged 15.3 points and 11.3 rebounds over the final four games. The sophomore guard from Princeville, Ill., scored in double figures 15 times with a season-best 21 points coming in a season-ending win at Trinity Christian on Feb. 24.

After grabbing just three rebounds combined over the Bees' first two games, Thole averaged better than 9.6 rebounds per game the rest of the way. She pulled down 10 or more rebounds nine times, including a career-high 21 in a win at Calumet on Dec. 9. She led the team with eight double-doubles. Thole also averaged 2.2 assists and a team-best 1.6 steals this season.
