All-CCAC Softball Team

Shai Erdrich, Becca Haag and Alyssa Schumacher were all named first team all-conference, and Emilee Erickson was selected to the second team as the CCAC announced its postseason softball awards.

The three first teamers are the most for St. Ambrose since the 2014 team also placed three on the first team.

Erdrich, a first-team selection for the second straight season, set single-season (51) and career (139) stolen base records for the Bees from the top of the lineup. The senior center fielder from Aurora, Ill., stole a base in 29 games this season and had 14 games with multiple steals. She led the team with a .364 batting average and 34 runs scored while driving in 11. She collected 17 multi-hit games. In her four-year career, Erdrich finished with a .345 batting average and 120 runs scored, the fourth-most in program history.

Haag made an immediate impact as a freshman, finishing second to Erdrich on the team with a .343 batting average. The infielder from Muscatine, Iowa, led the team with 14 doubles and finished second on the club with 24 RBIs. She collected one triple and a pair of home runs. Haag had two-or-more hits in 10 games.

Schumacher earned all-conference recognition for the third straight season. A first-team choice in 2022 and a second-team pick last year, the senior shortstop from Whitewater, Wis., led the team with 28 RBIs and finished third with a .333 batting average. She recorded eight doubles, three triples and one homer while scoring 21 times. In her four years at St. Ambrose, Schumacher is among the program's career leaders in batting average (12th at .362), RBIs (eighth with 97) and triples (fourth with 10).

Erickson gave SAU four all-conference performers for the first time since the 2019 campaign. She finished with an 8-6 record with five complete games and a 4.08 earned run average. The senior from Elburn, Ill., struck out 68 over 80 2/3 innings over 19 appearances, including 18 starts. She came up big down the stretch as the Bees won five of her final six regular-season starts. Over the last two years, Erickson earned 15 wins to go along with a 3.82 ERA. She struck out 173 over 181 1/3 innings.
