St. Ambrose had three players earn all-conference honors as the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) announced its postseason softball awards. Shai Erdrich and Erica Ralfs were named first team all-CCAC while Alyssa Schumacher was selected to the second team.

Erdrich set the tone for the team from the top of the order. The junior center fielder from Aurora, Ill., batted .308 and stole a CCAC-leading 44 bases in 47 attempts. She finished just three stolen bases shy of Olivia McClintock's single-season record of 47 set last season. Erdrich led the Bees with 39 runs scored.

Ralfs was the team's top pitcher, compiling an 8-6 record with a 2.09 earned run average. The senior from Davenport, Iowa, started 17 games and completed six of those, tossing three shutouts. She struck out more than one per inning, recording 111 strikeouts in 110 1/3 innings. In her SAU career, Ralfs is fifth in program history with 34 wins and second at St. Ambrose with 276 strikeouts.

Ralfs also could have earned all-conference recognition with her bat. She was second on the team with a .333 batting average with five doubles, three triples and a team-best three home runs. She drove in 17 and scored 26 runs.

Schumacher led the club by batting .343. The junior shortstop from Whitewater, Wis., who earned first team all-CCAC honors last year, recorded 10 doubles, three triples and a home run. Schumacher led the Bees with 30 RBIs and was second on the team with 27 runs scored. She also stole 10 bases on the year.

St. Ambrose finished the season with a 25-25 record, including a 12-8 mark in conference play.
