Bio

Jon Terronez joined the St. Ambrose wrestling staff as an assistant coach prior to the 2021-22 season.

Terronez arrived at St. Ambrose after serving as the head wrestling coach at Davenport Assumption High School for three seasons. During his tenure, the Knights went 64-17 and placed fifth, third, and seventh at the Iowa High School Athletic Association State Tournament. His squad also won the Iowa State Kevin Dresser Team Camp twice.

Prior to Assumption, Terronez served as an assistant coach in the Moline High School wrestling program from 2012-17. While he was at Moline, the Maroons won four consevutive Western Big 6 Conference titles and three consecutive regional titles.

Terronez graduated from Buena Vista University in 2009, where he was a varsity wrestler and team captain under Hall of Fame coach Mark Schwab.

Professionally, Terronez is the owner of Quint Cities Restoration in Davenport, Iowa.
