St. Ambrose readies for Heart Championships
With the regular season in the books, the St. Ambrose wrestling team now prepares to head into the postseason. The first postseason event on the horizon for the Bees is the 2024 Heart Conference Championship. The Bees will travel to the campus of William Penn in Oskaloosa, Iowa, to compete in this event Friday and Saturday.
The teams the Bees will be competing against are: No. 1-ranked Grand View, No. 16 Missouri Valley, (RV) Baker, Benedictine, (RV) Central Methodist, (RV) Dickinson State, (RV) Graceland, Waldorf, and (RV) William Penn.
The Bees will have a wrestler represented in each of the 10 different weight classes during the tournament. If any of the Bees place high enough in their bracket, they would qualify for the NAIA Wrestling Championships, which take place Feb. 29-Mar. 2.
