The St. Ambrose wrestling team defeated Southeast Community College (Neb.) by a score of 22-14 Wednesday evening. Coming into the match, Southeast CC was ranked No. 12 in the NJCAA.

To start the dual, the Bees were able to jump out to a quick 7-0 lead. Diego Machado earned a 6-0 decision win at 165 pounds. At 174 pounds, Jayden Terronez secured a major decision victory, winning his match 9-0.

Tyreese Johnson earned a decision victory as well, winning 8-3 to extend the Bees lead. The Bees took a 10-7 lead into the intermission.

After the intermission, Steele Dias won his match at 125 pounds by forfeit. The Bees would add two more wins via decision to secure the victory. Guiseppe Guerra secured a 4-1 victory at 141 pounds, and Reese Finch won 13-12 at 149 pounds. Cael Grell also won an exhibition match at 157 pounds.

The Bees are next in action when they travel to Mount Vernon, Iowa, to participate in the Mike Duroe Invitational Saturday.
