SAU wins big over Joliet JC
The St. Ambrose wrestling team picked up its third consecutive dual meet victory Tuesday. The Bees defeated Joliet Junior College by a score of 52-3 inside Lee Lohman Arena.
At 149 pounds, Reese Finch secured an 18-2 tech fall win early in the second period. At 174 pounds, Jayden Terronez secured a tech fall win of his own, winning by a score of 17-0. At heavyweight, Jeremiah Morris got a takedown in the second period, which he was able to use to secure a victory via pin.
Steele Dias, Jake Alexander, Guiseppe Guerra, Riley Woods, Dylan Meiners, and Tyreese Johnson all earned wins via forfeit.
In exhibition matches, Abdullah Razzak earned two wins of his own. He won his opening match with a tech fall, winning by a score of 22-5. In his second match, he secured a pin with just over one minute left in the third period.
With the win, the Bees improve to 3-4 in dual meets on the season. The Bees are next in action when they compete in the Blithe Memorial Duals in Grand Rapids, Mich., Dec. 1-2.
