St. Ambrose competes at Coe Invite
The St. Ambrose wrestling team continued their season on Saturday at the Coe Invite in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The Bees had seven competitors across the 10 different brackets of weight classes.
After dropping his first match at 125 pounds, Ariel Vega won his first consolation match by securing a pin with seven seconds left in the first period. At 141 pounds, Dom Schiavone secured a pin in the first period of his opening match. At 184 pounds, Hector Izaguirre won his opening match by decision, winning 8-4. Hunter Meyrer, Cael Grell, Ethan Blair, and Abdullah Razzak also competed for the Bees.
St. Ambrose is next in action on Tuesday when they host Joliet Junior College at noon inside Lee Lohman Arena.
