Terronez, Meiners in NAIA preseason rankings
Jayden Terronez and Dylan Meiners are both ranked in their respective weight classes in the 2023-24 NAIA men's wrestling coaches' top 20 preseason poll. Terronez is No. 15 at 174 pounds while Meiners is ranked No. 19 at 184 pounds.
Terronez, a junior from Moline, Ill., is already a two-time national qualifier for the Bees. Meiners, a junior from Polk City, Iowa, matched Terronez by winning more than 20 matches a year ago.
The two were among four Bees ranked in the Heart of America Conference preseason poll. Meiners is third, Terronez fourth, and Steele Dias (125 pounds) and Diego Machado (165 pounds) are each ranked fifth at their respective weights.
St. Ambrose will official start its third season of competition on Oct. 30 with a dual at Central Methodist.
