Bees cruise to victory over Warriors
The St. Ambrose wrestling team defeated Waldorf by a score of 39-8 Wednesday evening. The theme of the night for the Bees was bonus points as they were able to win four matches via pin.
Three of the four pins for the Bees came within the first period. Parker Terronez secured his pin 12 seconds into his match at 149 pounds. Jayden Terronez secured his at the 1:08 mark at 174 pounds and Dylan Meiners got his two minutes into the match at 184 pounds. Jeremiah Morris was able to secure a pin in the second period of his match at 285 pounds.
Slade Dias also got on the board for the Bees with a 6-5 decision victory at 157 pounds. The Bees also won two matches via forfeit - Ariel Vega at 133 pounds and Hunter Meyrer at 141.
The Bees return to the mat Saturday when they take on Baker and Grand View in Des Moines, Iowa.
