Road win at Roosevelt for St. Ambrose

A balanced attack helped St. Ambrose cruise to a 25-21, 25-15, 19-25, 25-14 win at Roosevelt Saturday night.

Fifteen different Bees played, and eight of them each had two kills.

Jason Bageanis led the way with nine kills. Skyler Marushige had eight and Drew Hamlin finished with seven. Nick Fox recorded six kills, Jeramie Gutierrez had five, Jake Snyder and Jaylen Clark each had four, and Dan Rice added two.

SAU finished with 45 kills and 24 hitting errors. Remove the third set when the Bees had eight kills and 11 errors and the team had an attack percentage of .338 (37 kills, 13 errors).

Roosevelt (3-12, 1-10 CCAC) totaled 31 kills and 28 errors.

Snyder led all players with 27 assists. Harry Khaira was credited with eight. Snyder also had a match-best eight digs. Avery Clark picked up seven and Jaylen Clark had five.

Ricardo Ubior (3) and Khaira (2) combined for five of the Bees' seven aces. Fox was in on five of the team's 8.5 blocks.

St. Ambrose will take a 12-13 record (6-5 CCAC) into the final regular season match of the season Tuesday at Cardinal Stritch.
