Reemtsma named to CoSIDA Academic All-America Team

CoSIDA Academic All-America Men's Track & Field/Cross Country Teams

Jack Reemtsma was named to the prestigious 2020-21 Academic All-America Men's Track & Field/Cross Country Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Reemtsma was named to the second team.

The CoSIDA Academic All-America Team is comprised of student-athletes from NAIA institutions, and are selected based on the students' work on the track and in the classroom. Nominees must be starters or important reserves, sophomores or older, with at least 3.30 cumulative grade point averages.

Reemtsma, from Bettendorf, Iowa, is a four-time All-American for the Bees after placing seventh in the 400-meter hurdles at the 2021 NAIA Outdoor Championships this spring. The CCAC Outdoor Track Athlete of the CCAC Championships, Reemtsma won conference titles in the outdoor 110-meter hurdles and the 400-meter dash. He set a school and conference record in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.73 seconds.

Reemtsma is the third St. Ambrose athlete to earn academic all-America honors, joining Ryan Zitkus (football) and Bethany Anderson (women's at-large/swimming & diving).
