Jonah Wilson named CCAC Indoor Field Athlete of the Week
CHICAGO --- A first-place finish from Saint Xavier University's Lendale Franklin (Chicago, Ill.) and a runner-up placement by St. Ambrose University's Jonah Wilson (Riverdale, Iowa) have earned the pair Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week honors, the league office announced on Thursday.
Wilson claimed the field honors after placing second in the shot put at SAU's own Battle In The Hive event on Saturday. The junior's best throw covered 52 feet, 7.25 inches. Wilson, who hit the NAIA A standard earlier this season, is currently ranked second in the conference in the shot put.
