Bees close fall with 5-2 win over Buena Vista

St. Ambrose won five of the six singles matches to close the fall portion of the schedule with a 5-2 win over Buena Vista Saturday at Davenport West. The win moved the Bees to 5-2 on the year.

The five singles victories all came in straight sets. Brian Lelm and Benedikt Rake combined to drop just one game in their wins at the top of the order. Lelm won 6-0, 6-1 and Rake won 6-0, 6-0. Jaime Febres and Nathan Harris won by identical 6-2, 6-4 scores at No. 3 and No. 4 singles, respectively. Connor Leibforth picked up the other SAU win, earning a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 5. Marcus Lang dropped his match at No. 6.

The Bees only picked up one doubles win. Lelm and Rake teamed for a 6-4 win at No. 1. The No. 2 team of Febres and Harris and the No. 3 combo of Leibforth and Cade Timmons each lost 6-3.
