Bees fall at MSOE 6-3

In a dual that came down to tiebreakers, St. Ambrose fell just a little short. The Bees dropped a pair of third-set super-tiebreakers in losing at the Milwaukee School of Engineering 6-3 Friday afternoon.

The top two singles matches each went into a third set. Paulo Vitor took the opening set before ultimately falling 3-6, 7-5, 10-8 at No. 1 singles. Brian Lelm also won the first set in his eventual 5-7, 6-4, 10-2 loss at No. 2.

SAU did claim one super-breaker as Gianfranco Garcia prevailed 1-6, 6-3, 10-7 at No. 3. Bennet Piotrowski also won a singles match for the Bees, earning a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 4.

Greyson Piotrowski (No. 5) and Connor Leibforth (No. 6) each fell in straight sets.

St. Ambrose, now 5-2 this fall, only won one of the three doubles matches. Vitor and Lelm took their No. 1 doubles match 8-5.
