SAU recognizes five on Senior Day

Before taking the courts against St. Francis (Ill.) Saturday, St. Ambrose took time to honor its five seniors - James Boustead, Jacob Decker, Michael Lai, Andrew Staelgraeve and Matt Zuccato. The players were recognized with their friends and families.

Bees held early leads in two of the three doubles matches but came up empty. The top team of Brian Lelm and Bennet Piotrowski lost in a tiebreaker 7-6 (7-5) and the No. 3 team of Decker and Greyson Piotrowski fell 7-5.

Lelm, Greyson Piotrowski and Zuccato lost in singles in the 4-0 loss. Bennet Piotrowski, Boustead and Connor Leibforth did not finish their singles matches.

St. Ambrose has just two duals remaining. The Bees will host Cardinal Stritch at Davenport Assumption on Wednesday before closing the regular season at Roosevelt next Saturday.
