Awards keep coming for swim & dive

SAU swim and dive team swept the competition at the Liberal Arts Championships. With both teams earning first place two years in a row, the awards on Rob Miecznikowski's walls keep piling up. Rob has been head of the swim and dive teams for seven seasons. He led the men to their second straight Liberal Arts Conference Championship. With 719 total team points, SAU finished nearly 200 points ahead of second-place Illinois Tech (530 team points). Thirteen men earned all-conference honors under the direction of Rob Miecznikowski. The men also broke three meet records and 12 all-time school records. For his efforts, Miecznikowski was named the Women's Coach of the Championships.

Bram Mess, a 5-8, junior from Davenport, Iowa notched an all-conference award at the Liberal Arts Championships. He was named men's diver of the Liberal Arts Conference Championships. In the meantime, he broke a school record with his 1-meter dive, earning 365.55 points. He won the 3-meter dive as well with a final score of 363.0. Aimee Knutson was named the Men's Diving Coach of the Championships.
