Newton named Player of the Week
Hayden Newton was named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced today. This is the first Player of the Week honor for SAU men's soccer since the 2020 season.
The junior from Dexter, Mich. scored the game-winning goal with ten seconds left against Holy Cross to give St. Ambrose a 3-2 victory on October 7.
The Bees also defeated Indiana University Northwest earlier in the week for a 3-4-2 overall record and 3-2 in the conference.
