St. Ambrose falls in season finale to Governors State

St. Ambrose fell 6-0 on a rainy Tuesday night in Davenport against Governors State in their final game of the season. The Jaguars outshot the Bees 13-3 in the match, with SAU's three shots all coming in the second half.

GSU was on the attack early as Kai Domagala made a save in the 7th minute before the visitors got the first goal of the night in the 10th minute. Domagala was able to make another save in the 20th minute, but Governors State would add to their lead in the 23rd on a goal from Abraham Jaimes to take a 2-0 lead at halftime.

Spencer Pyle got the first chance of the night for SAU, but his attempt in the 50th minute was blocked. The Jaguars added to their lead, scoring goals in the 53rd and 64th minutes to make it 4-0. Joe Casebolt had an opportunity in the 76th minute, but his shot was saved by the Governors State keeper. The visitors added two more goals late in the half to take the 6-0 victory.


Domagala was credited with four saves on the night.


St. Ambrose finishes the year with a 3-7-2 conference record and 4-10-2 overall.
