Bees fall to Warriors

St. Ambrose dropped their third straight contest Wednesday night, falling to the Waldorf Warriors, 4-1 in Forest City, Iowa. 

Waldorf got on the board early, scoring just three minutes into the game to take a quick 1-0 lead. The Warriors added to their lead in the 21st minute on a score from Robert Carreno, but SAU responded back quickly with Trent Fitzpatrick finding Aidan Bagley to make it 2-1. In the 25th minute, the home team found the back of the net again to take a 3-1 halftime lead. 

The Bees were unable to capitalize on their nine shots in the second half, while Waldorf was able to find the back of the net once again in the 79th minute to take the 4-1 victory. 

Kai Domagala made three saves in net for SAU. Justin Tackett recorded four shots, while Fitzpatrick, Jorge Brizuela, and Hayden Newton had two. 

St. Ambrose returns home on Tuesday, September 13 at 7 p.m. to face defending CCAC regular-season and tournament champions, Olivet Nazarene.
