League leader Lincoln top Bees

For 40 minutes, St. Ambrose stayed with conference leader Lincoln. But the top team would prove to be too much as the Bees fell 4-0 on Tuesday night in Davenport. Lincoln is now 8-0-1 overall and 6-0-1 in the CCAC. SAU falls to 4-5-2 on the year and 1-5-1 in the conference. 

Goalie Piercarlo Ricossa made five saves before the visitors got the breakthrough in the 41st minute. The Lynx earned a free-kick after a St. Ambrose foul, and AJ Agbede got his head on the cross from Cillian Coonan for a 1-0 halftime lead. 

Lincoln scored another goal quickly out of the break for a two-goal lead in the 49th minute. Ricky Rueda and Justin Tackett had both of their chances for a score stopped by the Lynx keeper in the 54th and 55th minutes. Lincoln would add another goal off a free kick in the 60th minute and score again just a minute later to account for the final score. 

Ricossa had with six saves, while Kai Domagala had two. Brady ButlerEthan Holke, and Mitchell Petrosky registered shots for St. Ambrose. 

The Bees will travel to Joliet, Ill. on Saturday to take on St. Francis at 3:30 p.m.
