Flynn named Assistant Coach of The Year by the Heart of America
The Heart of America named Gavin Flynn the 2023-24 Assistant Coach of the Year this afternoon. Flynn has been a familiar face in the St. Ambrose University men's lacrosse program, having served as both a coach and player.
Flynn helped lead the Bees to their second-straight trip to the Heart postseason tournament. Flynn was a former Bee himself, having played four seasons as a member of the men's lacrosse program.
First year head coach for the Bees and last year's Heart Assistant Coach of the Year, Devin Caesar, spoke highly of Flynn. Caesar stated of Flynn, "Reliable. Gavin always helped with anything you needed. He was a tremendous asset in my first year and was always there to support the program we both played for. The players loved him and he has made an impact on their lives. Thank you, Gavin."
St. Ambrose has earned back to back awards for Heart Assistant Coach of the Year. Devin Caesar was awarded in 2022-23.
St. Ambrose ended their season with a 9-7 overall record.
