Huge third quarter propels the Bees over Michigan-Dearborn

SAU continued their week-long Michigan trip by traveling to Beverly Hills, Mich. For their final matchup vs. the University of Michigan-Dearborn. The Bees scored the first two goals of the game and the last three goals of the game to edge Michigan-Dearborn 14-8. This was much-needed for the Bees who dropped two games earlier in the week.

Makaile Shaddix (assist Isaiah Hahn) started the scoring for the Bees at the 10:14 mark. Followed by Eli Hahn (Adam Kraft) to give the Bees the 2-0 lead. St. Ambrose and Michigan-Dearborn would trade two goals each throughout the remainder of the quarter.

Starting the second period up 4-2, the Wolverines answered back and tied the game before halftime at five all.

SAU would eventually go down a goal shortly after halftime but rally back and score six straight goals to extend their lead 11-6. Those goals in the third coming from Zach Priami, who scored twice on this run, Isaiah Hahn, Alex Tomaszewski, and Lachlan Hodge.

The Bees did not let down either by finishing the game strong with three goals to seal the victory 14-8.

Zach Priami and Matt Cortopassi rallied the offense for the Bees with three goals each. Lachlan Hodge and Isaiah Hahn followed with two. Eli Hahn, Joey Curzon, Makaile Shaddix, and Alex Tomaszewski each chipped in one.

Cortopassi, Shaddix, and I. Hahn led the Bees with two assists apiece. Zach Priami, Dawson Dickerson, Joey Curzon, and Adam Kraft each had one.

SAU collected a total of 45 ground ball pickups. Joe Campbell and Dawson Dickerson led the way with six and five collectively. EJ Loggins and Joey Curzon had four pickups.

Dawson Dickerson and EJ Loggins dominated with four and three caused turnovers respectively.
