St. Ambrose to face Keiser (Fla.) at NAIA National Invitational

For the third straight season, St. Ambrose will play in the NAIA Men's Lacrosse National Invitational. The event will take place from May 10-13 in Pensacola, Florida at Ashton Brosnaham Athletic Park. The Bees earned an automatic bid to the Invite by winning the Heart of America Conference Tournament. SAU will face the No. 1 team in the NAIA - Keiser University - on May 10 at 10 a.m. Keiser also earned an automatic bid after winning the AAC tournament.
The two teams matched up previously at the 2021 National Invitational, with the Seahawks winning 12-7 in Savannah, Georgia.
St. Ambrose is led by Heart Co-Defensive Player of the Year, Nolan Hayes, who has over 170 saves so far this season. Hayes had a 63.6 save percentage in the Heart title game. Seniors Michael Keating and Michael Shakerin each have over 40 points on the year. Cole Danner leads the team in goals with 25 followed by Makaile Shaddix with 21. Isaiah Hahn, Tyler Yetka, and Matt Cortopassi are the other Bees with double-digit points this season. Adam Kraft has a team-high 23 caused turnovers, while Dawson Dickerson has 13. Lachlan Hodge has caused 10, followed by Joe Campbell (9), Trent Knight (8), and Shaddix, Edward Loggins, and Chris Bridich have each caused seven. Jack Wiltrout has won 152 faceoffs this season.
Keiser boasts the NAIA leader in save percentage and goals-against-average in Christian Tomei. The Seahawks have three players over the 40 point mark - Jack Gillen, AJ Badik, and Cole Stassi. On defense, Jackson Marshall (20), Kylle Epstein (14), and Reese Niemeier (13) lead the way for KU in caused turnovers. Cam Provines has won 212 faceoffs for Keiser.
