St. Ambrose's season came to a close Wednesday afternoon in Pensacola, Florida. The Bees were held to their lowest offensive output, and Aquinas forced them into 24 turnovers as the Saints would take a 10-5 victory in the quarterfinals of the NAIA Invitational.

Aquinas jumped out to a 3-0 lead by the end of the first quarter. In the second, Matt Cortopassi found Christian Dimaano to put SAU on the board with 8:59 left until halftime. Nolan Hayes made three saves to keep the deficit at two, but Aquinas' Blake Baker found the back of the net with 31 seconds left to make it 4-1. The Saints would get another score just before the halftime whistle to take a four-goal lead into the break.

AQ would increase their lead just 28 seconds into the second half on a goal from Alex Rolands, but Hunter Northway responded by winning the ensuing faceoff and putting a shot past the keeper to make it a 6-2 game with 14:18 left in the third quarter. The Saints would get the next two goals for a six-goal lead with 8:44 to go in the period. After a timeout from SAU, Dimaano found Chris Bridich for a man-down score to make it an 8-3 game with 8:13 on the clock. Aquinas would get one more in the quarter and take a 9-3 lead heading into the final frame.

Michael Shakerin scored for St. Ambrose to cut the deficit to five with 9:50 left in the game. But Aquinas would get a goal from Jon Jardis with 5:12 left to make it 10-4. Hayden Latham would net the final goal of the game with 1:26 left to account for the final score.
