The St. Ambrose men's lacrosse team opened their 2021 season where they left off pre-covid. The Fighting Bees traveled to Westfield, Ind. to take on Taylor University and came away with a 20-6 win.
Nine Bees found the back of the net, led by junior Justin O'Marrah (5 goals) and sophomore Michael Shakerin (4 goals, 3 asst). Sophomore Cole Danner also recorded a hat trick while freshman Isaiah Hahn and Matt Cortopassi recorded their first collegiate goals. Nolan Hayes recorded 12 saves in between the pipes while the defense led by Joe Henderson and Hayden Latham limited the Trojan offense.
SAU returns to action tomorrow as they take on #6 ranked Indiana Tech at Grand Park in Westfield, Ind. at 2 p.m.
