CHICAGO --- Averaging a 74.5-per-stroke average over four rounds during the seven-day period ending April 21, St. Ambrose University's Jacob Stoetzel (Mokena, Ill.) has been named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, the league office announced on Wednesday.
Stoetzel, Theis earn top-five finishes at Fyre Lake

The St. Ambrose men's golf team took its annual Spring Break trip to Phoenix, Ariz. Former Bee golfer Brent Anderson hosted the team at the Legacy Golf Club, where he is general manager and owner.
Men fourth, women seventh at Saints Classic

The men's and women's golf teams competed in the Holy Cross Saints Classic Monday and Tuesday. The Bee men finished fourth while the women took seventh in the tournament played at Warren Golf Course in Notre Dame, Ind.
Marcum, St. Ambrose take third at Central Fall Classic

Tim Marcum finished third with a 3-over 147 to help a second St. Ambrose team place fifth at the Central Fall Classic played at Finkbine Golf Course in Iowa City, Iowa, Monday and Tuesday. After opening with a 76, Marcum climbed the leaderboard with a 1-under 71 Tuesday.

Junior Dylan McAleer and freshman Carsen Theis tied for seventh place as the SAU men's golf team opened their season Friday and Saturday at the Highland Championship in Rock Island, Ill.
McAleer earns medalist honors at SAU golf tryouts

Dylan McAleer, a junior from DeWitt, Iowa, captured medalist honors at this season’s St. Ambrose Golf Qualifying Tournament. The event was held Aug. 14-17 at Emeis Golf Course in Davenport, with 24 players trying out for 20 spots on varsity and JV rosters. McAleer finished last season's qualifying tournament just a single stroke behind medalist Owen Hultman.
