SAU closes Spring Break trip with triangular
St. Ambrose closed its annual Spring Break trip with a triangular at Arizona Golf Resort in Phoenix, Ariz., Friday.
Mick Haverland was the tournament runner-up after firing a 71. He finished a single shot behind individual medalist Ludwig Nilsen of Park (Ariz.), who shot a 70.
Eric Spurgetis was among the leaders, shooting a 72.
Owen Hultman shot a 77, Dylan McAleer carded an 80 and Jared Tigges came in with an 84 for the Bees. They helped St. Ambrose finish with a 300. Benedictine-Mesa and Park each shot 291s.
Playing as individuals, Ethan Neumer and McGwire Eden shot 77s and Hunter Mettille finished with an 81.
The Bees will return home to compete in the Wartburg Invitational at Prairie Links Golf Club in Waverly, Iowa, Apr. 1-2.
