Hunter Mettille tied for fifth and Dylan McAleer tied for seventh to lead a pair of St. Ambrose teams at the Klocke Family Classic played at Hunters Ridge Golf Course in Marion, Iowa, Saturday and Sunday.

Mettille finished with a 1-over 145. He opened with an even-par 72 Saturday before coming back with a 1-over 73 Sunday. 

McAleer fired the Bees' best round of the tournament, carding a 2-under 70 Saturday. He slipped back with a second-round 77 to finish with a 3-over 147.

Playing for the St. Ambrose A team, McAleer was backed up by Owen Hultman, who had rounds of 79 and 76 for a 155 total. Mick Haverland shot back-to-back 78s for a 156. Eric Spurgetis finished with a 157 (78-79) and McGwire Eden fired a 158 (80-78).

Ethan Neumer, playing for the SAU B team alongside Mettille, had the team's only other sub-par round. He shot a second-day 71 on the heels of an 82 to finish in a tie for 20th with a 153.

Mark Schomer (81-80=161), Reid Calvert (81-83=164) and Jared Tigges (84-80=164) also competed for the Bees.

The St. Ambrose A team finished fifth with a 614 and the B team took seventh with a 620.

Kirkwood, with three of the top four individual scores, won the team title with an 8-under 568. Kirkwood's JD Pollard was individual medalist with a 9-under 135.
