St. Ambrose falls to Roosevelt in CCAC contest

The St. Ambrose Bees fell by a score 84-73 to Roosevelt on Saturday afternoon inside Lee Lohman Arena. The Bees tried to mount a second-half comeback but came up just short.

Amarey Wills led the starters with 16 points on the afternoon. Jayven Jones and Kieran Farrell added four and three points, respectively. Patrick Torrey added two points and seven rebounds.

The Bees (1-4, 0-2 CCAC) were able to get some strong contributions off the bench. Will Spriggs led the Bees in scoring with 17 points and Tyson White added 13 points off the bench. Jordan Sanchez contributed seven points, Andrew Morrisey had six, Adam Burgert had three, and Nathan Moeller had two points to round out the Bees scoring on the afternoon.

The Bees held a 39-22 advantage in the rebound department. They were able to turn 13 offensive rebounds into 16 second chance points.

The Bees return to CCAC play when they travel to Olivet Nazarene on Wednesday.
