Bio

The program's all-time leader in sacks, Bernard Buhake joined the St. Ambrose football coaching staff in 2022. He coaches running backs and H-backs.

An Arlington, Texas, native, Buhake finished his Fighting Bee career with a program-best 26.5 sacks. The four-time all-conference defensive end also collected 44.5 tackles for loss at SAU. He earned second team All-American honors in 2020-21.

Buhake was also the 2021 recipient of the Bob Jurevitz Award. The award is presented annually to a St. Ambrose football player who best exemplifies the characteristics Jurevitz displayed both on and off the playing field. The award recipient is selected by the SAU football coaching staff and the Jurevitz family.

A 2017 graduate of Mansfield Summit High School, Buhake earned a degree in Sociology from St. Ambrose. He is pursuing a master's in Public Health.
