Twenty Bees named NAIA Scholar-Athletes
The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2023 Daktronics NAIA Football Scholar-Athletes. St. Ambrose had 20 student-athletes named to the team.
Representing St. Ambrose were Jake Ackman, Tom Casey, Aidan Flynn, Devan Galant, Pat Galeher, Max Gourley, Connor Grabins, Wade Jostes, Joe Jummati, Zack Nelson, Cole Negen, Broc Schmidt, Kaden Smith, Joey Sprinkle, Jake Strater, Israel Taylor, David Tessmann, Luke Vera, Deven Williams and Kyle Yehling.
A total of 968 student-athletes were named to the team. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
