SAUDT claims Northeast Regional

For the fifth straight year, St. Ambrose won the NAIA's Northeast Region in dance. This is SAU's tenth overall regional crown in the last 12 years, and they have won this region six of the last seven years. 

The Bees posted the two best rounds in the nine-team event Friday in Lee Lohman. 

SAU earned a 90.8 mark in the prelims and did even better in the final performance, posting a 94.

St. Ambrose earned an overall score of 93.20, which put them solidly ahead of the competition. Aquinas nabbed runner-up honors with 81.48, and St. Francis (Ill.) placed third with 75.18. Saint Xavier (69.9), Siena Heights (69.43), Marian (65.96), Madonna (64.06), Lawrence Tech (55.90), and Concordia (Mich.) (48.55) rounded out the field. 

The defending National Champions will look to repeat in Ypsilanti, Michigan March 11-12 at this year's National Championship.
