Five named NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athletes
Five members of the St. Ambrose cheer team were named Daktronics Scholar-Athletes, the NAIA announced. 217 student-athletes were recognized from 62 institutions. Georgetown (Ky.) and Mid-American Nazarene (Kan.) had the top mark with nine representatives each.
Priscilla Jackson, Izzy Kotalik, Madi Krause, Sawyer Mackovitch, and Regan Tucker earned the honor for SAU.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
