St. Ambrose earns runner-up at Northeast Regional
St. Ambrose took second place at the NAIA Northeast Regional Qualifier Saturday in Lee Lohman Arena.
The Bees posted a preliminary score of 93.43, coming behind Oklahoma City, who scored 94.96, the highest score of the day.
In the finals, SAU received a 92.71, giving them an overall score of 92.89 for the competition.
Oklahoma City took home the regional title with an overall score of 94.94. Dickinson State placed third with 89.76, and Missouri Baptist (85.46) and Williams Baptist (66.78) rounded out the competition.
St. Ambrose will wait to see if they are selected to compete at the 2022 NAIA Competitive Cheer Championship in Ypsilanti, Michigan March 11-12. More information about the NAIA Cheer Championship can be found here.
