SAU Cheer Team finishes second at Northeast Qualifier
Two strong performances from the St. Ambrose Cheer Team earned them runner-up honors at the NAIA's Northeast Qualifier Saturday.
After posting a score of 85.0 in the prelims, SAU came back with an 88.73 in the finals. That overall total of 87.80 was second to only Oklahoma City. OCU won the event with an overall total of 91.72.
Dickinson State took third with a score of 82.49 while St. Francis finished fourth with a 65.13.
St. Ambrose served as host of the four-team event and will also host the upcoming NAIA Competitive Cheer National Championships Mar. 12-13. That event will be held in SAU's Lee Lohman Arena.
