St. Ambrose 7, Siena Heights 3
Chris McFarland ripped a two-run double to break a 3-3 tie and ignite a four-run sixth inning as St. Ambrose defeated Siena Heights 7-3 in the team's first game Friday. With the game tied, Bryce Vincent started the sixth with a single to left. Jake Mucha was hit by a pitch and Adrian Zietara beat out a bunt single to load the bases. McFarland followed with his double down the left-field line to score pinch runners Thomas DeBrower and Caden Thode. Mike Pawyza greeted a new pitcher with a two-run double of his own to help SAU snap a 10-game losing streak. The Bees won after falling behind 2-0 after three innings. In the fourth, Noah McCreary and Cooper Huckabone led things off with back-to-back singles. Brock Webber's sacrifice bunt was thrown away allowing McCreary to score. The Saints pulled even in the top of the sixth before the Bees put up the four runs in the bottom half of the inning. McCreary finished with two of SAU's eight hits. Hunter Keim got the win in relief of Nick Vollmert. Keim struck out four while allowing one run over two innings. Vollmert struck out five and surrendered two runs over the first five frames.

St. Ambrose 11, Warner 2
The Bee bats came alive, banging out 10 hits in an 11-2 win over host Warner Friday afternoon. St. Ambrose scored in five of the seven innings and put up multiple runs in four different frames. And it came from all different sources. Adrian Zietara went 3-for-4 with five RBIs. Bryce Vincent and Mike Pawyza each had two hits, a run scored and an RBI. Cooper Huckabone had a hit and three runs scored. Chris McFarland and Nate Villagomez had a hit, run scored and RBI apiece. Brock Webber and Noah McCreary combined for three runs scored. Zietara finished with a two-run single for a quick 2-0 lead. Vincent had a run-scoring single in the third for a three-run lead. St. Ambrose broke things open from there. Pawyza had an RBI triple before scoring on a fielder's choice off the bat of Villagomez in the fourth. An inning later, Zietara and McFarland had consecutive run-scoring hits. Zietara ended the SAU scoring with a two-run single to cap a four-run sixth inning. Parker Ruth and Brad Niedzwiedz were the beneficiaries of the offensive support. Ruth allowed two runs, just one earned over 3 2/3 innings. He struck out five. Niedzwiedz got the win with 3 1/3 innings of scoreless relief. He struck out four.

No. 8 St. Thomas 5, St. Ambrose 2
Despite Cooper Huckabone's second home run of the day, a three-run second inning proved to be the difference as St. Ambrose fell to No. 8 St. Thomas 5-2 Thursday. The Bobcats took advantage of an SAU error to plate the three early unearned runs. The Bees got one of those runs back in the fifth. Thomas DeBrower led off with a single and stole second. Noah McCreary walked, and one out later, the two stole second and third. Brock Webber lifted a sacrifice fly to left to plate DeBrower. St. Thomas hit a two-run homer in the top of the seventh before Huckabone blasted his solo shot to center in the bottom of the inning. It was the finish of a 3-for-4 game for Huckabone. Bryce Vincent and Mike Pawyza also had hits. Frank Quinn took the loss. Joey Turek worked five innings in relief, allowing just two runs while striking out five, before Jacob Bosse tossed the final inning.
