SAU places seven members on CCAC All-Academic Team

St. Ambrose placed seven members on the CCAC Women's Basketball All-Academic Team announced Monday. Erica Bostwick, Kaitlyn Brunson, Caroline Cool, Olivia Harter, Elly Holubar, Caitlyn Thole and Abby Wolter were recognized.

St. Ambrose placed eight members of the CCAC Men's Basketball All-Academic Team announced Monday. Ignacio Dacunda, Jake Friel, Jayven Jones, Grant Mason, Nathan Moeller, Ty Slager, Max Steiner and Nikola Zelenovic were recognized.
SAU takes second at CCAC Championships

Behind a strong first day, St. Ambrose finished as conference runner-up at the CCAC Championships competed Monday and Tuesday at Cinder Ridge in Wilmington, Ill.
Five Bees named NAIA Women’s Lacrosse Scholar-Athletes

St. Ambrose women’s lacrosse placed five Bees on the NAIA Scholar-Athlete list, released this afternoon. Abby Messina, Abby Taaffe, Angelina Tinerella, Rylee Pfoutz and Sarah Diehl were named as 2024 Daktronics NAIA Women’s Lacrosse Scholar-Athletes.
Track & Field competed in a plethora of outdoor events in a two-day span

In a 48-hour time span, both men’s and women’s Track & Field teams competed at three different venues. Friday. April 26, the distance runners competed in the Kip Janvrin Open at Simpson College. The Kip Janvrin Open saw 48 team compete, including St. Ambrose. While the distance runners were in Indianola, Iowa, the other Bees competed at the Grand View Viking Classic in Des Moines, Iowa. Saturday, April 27, SAU competed at the prestigious Drake Relays.
Bees begin CCAC Tournament play Thursday vs. Trolls

St. Ambrose will begin the CCAC Tournament Thursday against Trinity Christian. The 3 p.m. game at the Crown Point Sportsplex in Crown Point, Ind., will be one of two games that opens the double-elimination tournament.
SAU to face Roosevelt in CCAC Tournament opener

St. Ambrose will face Roosevelt in a first-round game of the CCAC Tournament at 4 p.m. Thursday at Duly Health and Care Field in Joliet, Ill.
Five Bees named NAIA Scholar-Athletes

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2024 Daktronics NAIA Men's Volleyball Scholar-Athletes. St. Ambrose had five student-athletes named to the team.
St. Ambrose rallies for two wins over Calumet

Garrett Latoz was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh to bring in Jake Mucha with the winning run in a 16-15 win in the first game of a doubleheader at Calumet Sunday afternoon.

In the final regular-season event of the year, St. Ambrose placed five players inside the top 10 at the Viking Invitational played at Highland Springs in Rock Island, Ill., Friday and Saturday.

Flynn named Assistant Coach of The Year by the Heart of America

The Heart of America named Gavin Flynn the 2023-24 Assistant Coach of the Year this afternoon. Flynn has been a familiar face in the St. Ambrose University men’s lacrosse program, having served as both a coach and a player.
Five Bees earn Heart postseason honors

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced post season honors for men’s lacrosse this afternoon. Five Bees were named to the all-conference first and second teams for the 2023-2024 season. Matt Cortopassi and Dawson Dickerson both notched first-team honors. While Eli Hahn, Isaiah Hahn, and Makaile Shaddix earned a spot on the second-team for all-conference awards.
Two-out hits help Bees win in extra innings

For the fifth straight time, St. Ambrose split a CCAC doubleheader, taking the opener at Indiana South Bend 5-3 in eight innings before losing the second game 9-3 Thursday afternoon.
Bees end season in Heart Tournament Semifinal

The Statesmen were a familiar face to St. Ambrose as they played each other less than a month prior. They met again but this time in the 2024 Heart Tournament Semifinal match up. SAU was looking for revenge and an upset as they were the no. 3 seed heading into the conference tournament. William Penn was ranked no. 2 in the conference tournament, just behind Benedictine who earned the no. 1 seed. The Bees could not gather enough momentum for an upset this time around as St. Ambrose was defeated 26-5.
SAU splits doubleheader at Trinity Christian

Seven different Bees had at least one hit and five different players drove in a run as St. Ambrose defeated Trinity Christian 6-3 in the second game of a doubleheader in Palos Heights, Ill., Tuesday. The Trolls took the opener 5-1.
