The Wellness and Recreation Center and renovated Physical Education Center were exciting additions to the St. Ambrose campus in the Fall of 2017.
Major features of this new 80,000-square-foot facility include: a 56,000-square-foot field house with space for practices and some varsity competitions; a 200-meter competition track, pole vault areas, and long- and triple-jump pits; four basketball/volleyball courts; a two-story cardio workout and weight room; and, a multipurpose room used for cheerleading and dance team practices. A new Hall of Fame, Club Room, and adjacent lobby features trophies and memorabilia celebrating Fighting Bee athletics.
Along with serving as a practice facility for nearly every athletic program, the Wellness and Recreation Center served as host of the 2018 CCAC Indoor Track & Field Championships. Varsity volleyball matches are also played in the WRC.
